The best sunset spot
Coastal path, Whipsiderry to Watergate Bay
Halfway along, there's a grassy clifftop where we sit with Poppy and watch the sun drop into the sea. It's our favourite place to end the day, and it never gets old.

Watergate Bay
Beach and hotel
Meals, spa days, overnight stays and plenty of hot chocolates. Whatever the weather, it always feels like a treat, and the view from just about every window is unbeatable.

Pavilion Bakery
Newquay town
Our go-to for a breakfast pastry. The monkey bread is the one to get, and it's even better eaten on a walk by the sea.

Knightswood Welly Walks
Secure dog paddocks
Our favourite place to let Poppy off the lead to chase the squirrels. Knightswood has walks through ancient woodland, wildflower meadows and lakeside, so she can run (and paddle) to her heart's content.

Ladyvale Bakery
Newquay town
Our favourite bakery. Think fresh bagels, toasties and cakes you won't want to share. We loved them so much they made the dessert table at our wedding. If you haven't been, trust us on this one.

The Eden Project
Near St Austell
A beautiful spot with incredible biomes. We loved the tropical Rainforest Biome. It's so weird and wonderful to walk into a climate we'd never get to experience in the UK. And the gigs here are next level. We saw Becky Hill this summer and it was unforgettable.

Graze Tapas & Wine Bar
Newquay town
If you know us, you'll know this is our favourite restaurant. We've lost count of the times we've been. Order lots of plates to share, and save room for one more. You'll want it.

The coast path
Anywhere, with Poppy in tow
Honestly, any stretch will do, and we're pretty sure she agrees. Clifftops, hidden coves, rock arches and big open beaches. The same walk never looks the same twice, with the seasons, the weather and the tide changing it every time.
